Conference

This year the annual AVSM Conference will take place at the Jury’s Inn in central Birmingham on the 30th and 31st of October. This unique conference will bring together hospice staff from across the country to hear keynote speakers from Marie Curie and author of The Changing Face of Volunteering in Hospice & Palliative Care, Ros Scott. Workshops will cover a wide range of topics including Developing a Volunteer Strategy, Mental Health, Volunteers and the Law and Building Resilience from workshop leaders such as Sue Jones, NCVO and hospice volunteer managers with specialist first-hand knowledge of their subject. We will also hear from a number of presenters in our popular Short Talks sections too, offering a small insight into projects they’ve worked on and wisdom they are keen to share. Between workshops there is the perfect opportunity to network and get advice and help with the projects you’re working on.
